'Evidence & policy impact'
Civic Lab is a longer-term project, integral to our envisaged final structure. Operating similarly to 180 Degrees Consulting, it will consist of a university campus-based network of think tanks, specialising in research relating to youth political engagement and political education. It has four key functions: evaluate Civic Shift's effectiveness; develop stronger success models; produce policy reports for political impact based on our organisational insights; and provide an avenue for beneficiaries to develop leadership skills within the political sphere.
Impact Measurement
Pre- and post-event surveys, longitudinal tracking, and independent evaluation of Civic Shift programme outcomes.
University Partnerships
Collaborating with academic institutions to produce peer-reviewed research on the structural causes of youth civic disengagement.
Policy Reports
Publishing findings for policymakers, educators, and the public — contributing to the national conversation on youth engagement.
Developing Leadership
Providing a structured pathway for Civic Shift beneficiaries to progress from participants into researchers, regional convenors, and future civic leaders.
